Incineration of My Past

Dangerous Heart by Misha Busch //

Incineration of My Past by Jordin Hartley //

As I turn the corner I forget about my past.
Forget all phony friends and lusty loves that did not last.
Extinguish flames of memory that burn my hindered heart,
Pretend the life behind me was one in which I had no part.
Bending round the curve I see no need to brandish blade,
No longer do I dwell in pasts that breathe the dismal shade.
That world of turmoil left behind no need to ride defensive,
Just let inventive insight flow and flounder all too pensive.
A world of light does beckon me- I come around the curve.
Leaving life of dimness in the dust- I rest assured.
