of light
of what it can mean
to the smallest
apotheosis of truth
of the stories that
we should remember
but ultimately
are unrecoverable
we recognize their images
their location undetermined
and why light is left
symptomatic and symmetric
cosmic and encompassing
a sentinel to eternity
